World Heritage Webinars – Industrial Heritage Season Two # 4: Industrial Heritage Trail

The fourth in a series of four webinars, that will showcase Industrial World Heritage Sites from across the UK.
This last webinar will focus on a new Industrial Heritage Trail in the UK. Your speakers are Brandi Hall-Crossgrove (Saltaire WHS) and Sukie Khaira (Derwent Valley Mills WHS).
Brandi, the Saltaire WHS Officer, is a Trustee of World Heritage UK and the founder of the Industrial World Heritage Group. Brandi has worked at the local level for Saltaire & Ironbridge Gorge. She has previously worked on the national level as a trustee with ICOMOS-UK & an intern for the International Team at Historic England. At the international level Brandi is the co-chair of the ICOMOS Industrial Heritage ISC, chair of the Sudan Heritage Preservation Council, and Director of the Sentinel Network.
Sukie has been working for the Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage Site since 2007, firstly at Derby City Council and now with Derbyshire County Council. Sukie has helped secure capital and revenue funding for projects across the whole of the WHS including for a strategy to regenerate Darley Abbey Mills which is now a thriving creative industries hub, the heritage trip boat Birdswood that runs on the Cromford Canal, and at Cromford Mills where the visitor centre and business units are now part of the vibrant offer in the northern hub of the site.
This is an initiative to showcase Industrial Heritage from across all UNESCO designations – World Heritage Sites, Geoparks and Biospheres.
