Number 2 in a series of 4 webinar talks, showcasing some of the UK’s World Heritage Sites and their work in tackling the impacts of climate change.

Date – Tuesday 18th February 2025

World Heritage Site – Studley Royal & Fountains Abbey

Speakers – the National Trust’s Sarah France and Josie Campbell, speaking about on their Skell Project and how this is working towards reducing flooding at the WHS.

Sarah and Josie have spent many years working with Nidderdale National Landscape to develop the Skell Valley Project and the National Lottery Heritage Fund bid for a £1.4m grant. The project brings together partners, farmers, landowners and communities to work together to tackle challenges like climate change and create a sustainable future for the World Heritage Site and wider Skell Valley. After 6 years in development, the project is now in its final year of delivery.

Josie Campbell has worked on various projects for the National Trust over the past 10 years ranging from Arts Council funded installations in Studley Royal Water Garden to dredging reservoirs and water features.
