Technical Evaluation Phase of the World Heritage application process: UK National Commission for UNESCO (UKNC) policy brief

The UK National Commission for UNESCO (UKNC) has produced a policy brief assessing the Technical Evaluation phase of the World Heritage application process.  This was done following a consultation with national agencies and governments, applicant sites and the 2013 expert panel. It includes a series of practical recommendations for future rounds. One of these recommendations was to conduct an annual survey of sites on the tentative list to ascertain their intentions going forward. The UKNC is in the process of conducting that survey for 2015.

The brief can be downloaded here: UKNC Policy Brief: Technical Evaluation Phase of the World Heritage application process
