She also serves as a trustee with Industrial Museums Scotland. She began her career in libraries and archives in Glasgow before moving into a range of heritage roles across Scotland\, where she focused on how heritage and culture can support health\, wellbeing\, and community connection. DESCRIPTION:The third in a series of four webinars\, that will showcase Industrial World Heritage Sites from across the UK. \nThis third webinar will focus on Blaenavon Industrial Landscape in Wales. Your speaker is Dr Nathan Matthews. \nNathan is a Blaenavon Town Councillor and served two terms as Mayor. He has been involved with the Blaenavon World Heritage Site\, in various capacities\, for over 25 years. He is Chairman of the Blaenavon World Heritage Site Partnership’s Exploring and Enjoying the Blaenavon Industrial Landscape Working Group and a member of the Partnership Board. He has previously held roles at Blaenavon World Heritage Centre and the Blaenavon Community Museum. He is Chairman of Blaenavon Local History Society\, Secretary of Blaenavon Civic Society\, and Vice President of Torfaen Museum Trust. His doctoral research examined the use of digital technology in UK industrial World Heritage Sites. DESCRIPTION:The fourth in a series of four webinars\, that will showcase Industrial World Heritage Sites from across the UK. \nThis last webinar will focus on a new Industrial Heritage Trail in the UK. Your speakers are Brandi Hall-Crossgrove (Saltaire WHS) and Sukie Khaira (Derwent Valley Mills WHS). \nBrandi\, the Saltaire WHS Officer\, is a Trustee of World Heritage UK and the founder of the Industrial World Heritage Group. Brandi has worked at the local level for Saltaire & Ironbridge Gorge. She has previously worked on the national level as a trustee with ICOMOS-UK & an intern for the International Team at Historic England. At the international level Brandi is the co-chair of the ICOMOS Industrial Heritage ISC\, chair of the Sudan Heritage Preservation Council\, and Director of the Sentinel Network. \nSukie has been working for the Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage Site since 2007\, firstly at Derby City Council and now with Derbyshire County Council.  Sukie has helped secure capital and revenue funding for projects across the whole of the WHS including for a strategy to regenerate Darley Abbey Mills which is now a thriving creative industries hub\, the heritage trip boat Birdswood that runs on the Cromford Canal\, and at Cromford Mills where the visitor centre and business units are now part of the vibrant offer in the northern hub of the site. \nThis is an initiative to showcase Industrial Heritage from across all UNESCO designations – World Heritage Sites\, Geoparks and Biospheres. \nPrevious webinars in this series include: \n\nTuesday 20th January – New Lanark (YouTube recording)\nTuesday 03rd February – Pontcysyllte Aqueduct and Canal (YouTube recording)\nTuesday 10th March – Blaenavon Industrial Landscape (YouTube recording)\n\nDetails: \n\nWebinar timings – 7-8pm UK time\nOnline platform – All webinars will run on Zoom\nAll webinars will be recorded and uploaded to WHUK’s private YouTube account; all ticket holders will be provided the link later in the week after the webinar\nSingle tickets are £5; a series ticket for all four is £15
