WH:UK is deeply saddened to hear of the death of HIs Royal Highness, Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh and our condolences go to Her Majesty and the Royal Family. Throughout his life, the Prince was a patron, president or member of 780 organisations including those supporting the work of World Heritage. His concern for the environment was ahead of its time and his support and encouragement of so many charities including the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) will be gratefully remembered.
