Sligo County Council in Ireland is wanting to recruit a Project Coordinator for The Passage Tomb Landscape of Co. Sligo.

In July 2022, the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage announced The
Passage Tomb Landscape of County Sligo
as one of three successful bids to be added to
Ireland’s Tentative List of properties for potential future nomination to the World Heritage
List 2020-2030.

The role of The Passage Tomb Landscape of County Sligo Project Co-Ordinator (SPTPC) will
be to coordinate and support the activities of Sligo County Council (as Lead Partner), key
partners and key stakeholders in the development of the World Heritage nomination bid.
The SPTPC will coordinate and support the ongoing work of the Project Team, Nomination
Team and associated working groups (where required) to deliver on the agreed actions as
part of the steps towards World Heritage nomination.

The main objective of the SPTPC will be to coordinate the activities required in the
development of the World Heritage nomination bid. The role will include developing and
implementing an extensive public awareness strategy, communication, and promoting
engagement and outreach activities with all stakeholders. In this context the role will be
multifaceted, concerning itself with outcomes as well as activation.

The position is for a period of 3 years.
